The Golden Tulip hotel is a 0.92-acre, 1-lakh-sq-ft hospitality development for Louvre Hotels Group in Lucknow, delivered between 2006 and 2009. As part of a major European hotel group's Indian expansion, the project brought an internationally branded mid-scale hotel to Lucknow, requiring efficient guestroom stacking on a sub-one-acre urban site to achieve viable room count and revenue potential. The design strategy prioritised compact but comfortable guestroom planning, efficient vertical circulation, and a public-facing ground floor combining lobby, restaurant, and limited meeting space suited to a mid-scale brand positioning. Facade design established a distinct street presence within Lucknow's dense urban core. Completed over a three-year period, the project reflects some of the practice's earliest hospitality-sector work, establishing an international hotel brand's presence in a secondary Indian city ahead of the broader wave of branded hotel development that followed.
