KL University is a 90-acre institutional masterplan developed for the Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation in Vijayawada between 2006 and 2009, now at schematic design completion stage. The masterplan establishes a comprehensive university campus framework across a substantial land parcel, organising academic blocks, hostels, administrative facilities, sports infrastructure, and open landscape into a coherent campus structure suited to a large multi-disciplinary university. The design strategy would prioritise a clear campus spine or central quadrangle connecting major academic buildings, distinct zoning between academic, residential, and recreational precincts, and a phased development framework allowing the university to grow incrementally as enrolment expands. Landscape and open space are typically distributed to support a walkable, pedestrian-first campus environment. The project reflects the practice's experience in large-scale institutional and higher-education campus masterplanning, translating a large greenfield site into a structured framework for one of Andhra Pradesh's significant private universities.
